I am so glad you decided to stop by Hope City Counseling! I have been a counselor here since January of 2018. I have a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. Our stories contain many chapters, and often those chapters are very difficult. I have desire to work with people who find themselves with life stories that include times of trauma, depression, anxiety, loneliness, grief, shame, difficult relationships or just feeling stuck, and long to help you heal and become more and more whole.

I believe counseling can be a life-changing experience, and I long for individuals to experience redemption in relationships and trials that have caused great suffering in the story of their lives. My own story has been greatly affected by the pressures of being a young woman who had to “have it all together.” Performance, people’s approval, and broken relationships have marked much of my life. I believe many women carry this weight daily as our identities are defined by what we do and our appearance as individuals, adolescents, wives, and mothers. I have experienced freedom through my own counseling journey, and I long the same for you. You haven’t failed because you are seeking counseling.
